Immigration Documents
Required for Medical Students in Anguilla

Citizens of the US and Canada may enter Anguilla as tourists for up to 90 days as long as they hold a valid passport. Medical students, who will be staying in Anguilla for 16 months will require a residence permit. The documents required to apply for this permit are listed below. These documents are collected from the student during the admission process and the school is responsible for acquiring the permit for the student once these documents are received by the school.

  • Passport – Notarized copy: Passport must be valid for at least 1 full year from the date of arrival to Anguilla.
  • Birth Certificate – Notarized copy
  • Marriage Certificate or– Notarized copy:
  • Single Status certificate: Notarized original. This document should not be older than 6 months.
  • Police Clearance covering the last 10 years - Original: A certificate of good conduct is obtained by contacting your local Police Department. Request that they conduct a criminal background check. This certificate should be signed, stamped by the police department, and completed no more than two months before going to Anguilla.
  • Health Clearance stating you are healthy and free from communicable diseases - Original:    It has to be written on doctor’s letterhead or have official stamp and has to be signed by the physician. (the document cannot be older than 2 months)
  • 4 passport sized photographs - Recent
