Student Housing Most apartments are located a short distance from the campus. Based on availability, both furnished and unfurnished apartments are available. Laundry facilities are located within the apartment complexes. Rent ranges from about $700 to $1,500 per month. Furnished apartments include furniture, linens, towels, air conditioning, and/or ceiling fans. Tenants are responsible for electricity, telephone, cooking gas, and cable TV charges. Residing close to campus will give students an opportunity to meet classmates, become oriented to the island, and form study groups that may lead to future roommates. Student housing accommodation lists are available from the Saint James School of Medicine's housing coordinator. Students are advised to declare their arrival date two to three weeks before classes start. The housing coordinator should be notified at least one month before classes begin.
