Eligibility

Medical School Eligibility
Applicants from the United States and Canada:
Applicants who are high school graduates or have less than 90 credit hours of undergraduate coursework are required to complete four semesters (16 months) of the premedical program, in order to satisfy the requirements of all licensing boards.  If you have graduated from high school with good standing, the MCAT test score is optional.  The acceptable range for a GPA score is between 3 and 3.5.  If you have a low score, you should provide strong letters of recommendation and also convince the admissions department that you possess strong motivation to study medicine.

Applicants from Other Countries:
The admissions department will evaluate applicants from countries with educational standards comparable to United States medical programs. Each applicant should have a minimum of 12 years of education in the country of origin. All applications will be evaluated on an individual basis.  Please note that all course work and diplomas should be translated into English and applicants whose native language is not English are required to take TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language).

Basic Science Program Eligibility
Applicants from the United States and Canada:

A Baccalaureate/Bachelor's degree or a total of 90 credit hours, which is approximately three years of undergraduate education at an accredited college or university, is required.

Preference will be given to applicants who have completed a bachelor's degree or higher. Students with a low GPA should have strong letters of recommendation and convince the admissions department that they possess strong motivation to study medicine.

Chemistry: One academic year of general inorganic and one year of advanced Chemistry.
