Affiliated Hospitals

SJSM students have to complete their clinical core rotations and clinical electives in the United States and Canada. (some restrictions apply) The following is a partial list of hospitals where students can complete their clinical rotations:

South Shore Hospital 
Weiss Memorial Hospital 
Holy Cross Hospital
Norwegian American Hospital

Georgia:
Dekalb Medical Center 

West Virginia:
Raleigh General Hospital
Appalachian Regional Healthcare

Centennial Medical Center 
Skyline Hospital

We are currently in negotiations with other hospitals.  Once the hospitals are approved, the list will be updated.  Please note that CORE rotations are usually scheduled in ACGME approved hospitals.

If a student wishes to set up their own rotations they must submit names and contacts of specific hospitals to the Office of the Dean of Clinical Sciences. A formal agreement must be made between the school and the hospital and/or the physician prior to the start of the rotation.  Currently students can spend at least one year at any given location.
