Alumni Prep Students for Residency at Chicago Meet & Greet

Every part of the Saint James School of Medicine experience is geared, in some way, toward preparing its medical students for a successful match and future as a practicing physician. As a part of that continued initiative, this May, faculty and staff organized a Residency Meet & Greet event near the Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. Stateside students who are completing clinical rotations and/or are otherwise looking ahead to Match Day 2017 filed in for the informative, live presentation. The invited speakers were as follows:

• Dr. Kali Taylor, University of Illinois
• Alicia Dudesek, Manager of QA & Registrar Services (SJSM)

The session was a wonderful opportunity for Saint James alumni (Doctors Nune, Jason Taylor and Kali Taylor) to meet with current students face-to-face and candidly answer their most pressing questions. They were able to see the practical steps and determination necessary to become success stories themselves, and understand best practices when it comes to application materials and interview preparation. The Saint James administration looks forward to more alumni and residency-focused events this year, allowing for even more crucial learning and networking opportunities in Chicago and beyond.
