Inauguration of Bonaire Campus

First Graduate

Expansion to Anguilla
In recognition of its commitment to excellence, SJSM received a charter from the island of Anguilla, expanding its reach and impact in the Caribbean region.
Accreditation Achievement
The Anguilla campus received accreditation from the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and Other Health Professions (CAAM-HP), affirming SJSM's adherence to the highest standards of medical education.
Inauguration of Anguilla CampusExpansion of Bonaire Campus
With the inauguration of the Anguilla campus, SJSM continued its mission to nurture future generations of healthcare professionals in a supportive and dynamic academic environment.
Realizing that the demand for the school’s program will continue to grow, the leadership of the school decided to further expand the facilities in Bonaire by opening a satellite campus in the region of Hato. This move has significantly improved the school’s facilities and infrastructure conducive to learning.
Relocation to St. Vincent & the Grenadines
Following the political changes in Bonaire, SJSM's Bonaire campus relocated to St. Vincent and the Grenadines, further enhancing its infrastructure and resources to better serve its students and faculty.
Adaptation to Online Teaching
In response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, SJSM demonstrated resilience and adaptability by shifting its teaching to online platforms for the first time in its history, ensuring continuity in education amidst unprecedented challenges.
Construction of New Campus
SJSM embarked on a new chapter of growth and development with the commencement of construction on the new campus on the island of St. Vincent, poised to provide state-of-the-art facilities and resources for future generations of medical professionals.
New Campus Milestone
October 2024 - Saint James School of Medicine proudly completed Phase 1 of its new campus construction. The state-of-the-art 5,500 sq. ft. facility, complemented by a 4,000 sq. ft. outdoor amphitheater, provides a modern and inspiring environment designed to support excellence in medical education.
Innovative Curriculum
September 2025: Saint James School of Medicine introduced a dynamic systems-based curriculum designed to elevate the student learning experience. This innovative approach integrates basic sciences and clinical applications within organ-system modules, allowing students to see the connections between theory and practice from the very start.
